I have been busy working on photographs from a very nice wedding. I have now started to scan films from my various trips in the US. Below is a photo from Monument Valley taken in 1998.

Arusha Christmas Fair

Our little city of Arusha got some activity last week for the annual Christmas Fair. The fair is the occasion for shops to show their Christmas stocks, vendors to get new clients and for Charities to show their work.

This year the fair took place on the TGT premises on the Rugby field. As usual entrance fees was collected for various charities.

I did not buy much… actually I was pretty reasonable. I bought a couple of scented handmade soap and a nice leather bag.

There are many decoration objects: furniture, lamps, candle holders (quite useful here!), photographs, books, jewelry,…

 

A good cause

I am still alive…

Life has been terribly busy with lots of time spent in the office and not much time dedicated to little me.

I have been following Marianne’s Blog, Zen and the Art of Peacekeeping, for sometimes now. Yesterday she made a post about an amazing young Afghan woman who is getting a scholarship to study in the US but is missing some money to buy her plane ticket to get her visa. Have a look at the video from this young person who is now working in the UN Kaboul office as a Human Right Assistant, there.
