This in Muffin, our hedgehog. I found her in Cuddle's mouth. Cuddle is my Labrador of 15 months. Cuddle has the bad habit to bring back hedgehogs very proudly. Well, once he has one in his mouth, he does not really know what to do with it as it hurts and he waits for me to take it away. Usually, we do free the trapped hedgehog and put it back in some grass outside the garden. Though that time, Cuddle's catch was so small that I decided to keep it for the night to see if it was ok. I just put the small prickly thing in a box, looked on the Internet how it should be fed. And the next morning, what a surprise! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Muffin has been part of the house for 3 weeks now. She is growing fast but she is so interesting to watch. Yes, it is a she. I cannot tell how old she is but surely less than 6 months. She is exploring the house - Ok we have lost her twice but found her in less than 5 minutes - Hey! do not blame me, she is still very small. Some 50 grams when I found her and now, just 140 grams! She is hunting crickets and eating them. They are good for her, full of proteins plus I hate them when they are in the house. She sleeps most of the day and is so funny when exploring my office desk. There will be a day when she is going back into the grass... well that day has not come yet, she is still too young.
