Paulette Insall class
I have been having fun with Paulette Insall class this Week. if you do not know her art, have a look at her blog. Her first class is about making backgrounds and her second class about painting faces. I am very glad I signed up for those two classes. So far i am having a lot of fun. I hate getting bored when taking classes, especially online. I was bored in school most of the time. That is enough. hee hee.
So here is my first background. I am making on another one with totally different colors just for fun. I was very happy that just before the class started I received new paints from golden paints that I had ordered from Dick Blick. The first layer is a mix of titanium white and some blue and the second layer is a glaze made with some blue fluid acrylic. Sorry I do not have the paints on hand for the exact names.
The second background is totally different as the first layer is a mix of black and red colors. When i am done with it, I will post a picture.
I have been trying to reorganize my office/art space this week with the arrival of our new scanner. I am very happy with it but it is huge. I am getting used to work in a tiny space but I hope that one day I will have a decent size art room. hee hee!! dreams, dreams, dreams.
I have made the envelops for my February (sorry i am a bit late) and March inchies swaps. Monday they will be in the mail.
OK, I'd better go and make some art now!

Oh my goodness....I'm taking this course too but am just awaiting my supplies from Dick Blick. I love the blue that you've created on the canvas. Isn't Paulette awesome!! I look forward to seeing the progression of this canvas...can't wait to start mine!
