Did you see on the right hand side of my blog?
Isn't this button looking great?
BIG News! Oh yes!
I am so happy!!
I have been invited to join The Hannah Grey Design team! If you do not know Hannah Grey Curiosities & Drygoods, go to their website. I am both honored and scared. The other team members have more experience than myself. I am still very new to mixed-media. I fin all of this very challenging and so excited.
Thank you so much for this opportunity!
1. As usual I was locked up in my office... so much work. the good side of it is that it is so interesting.
2. I managed to scan with my new scanner the glass photographic plates I had bought on ebay a while ago. All are great quality pictures. Some are not so interesting are they are pictures of an old factory but others are great. Anyway I have many ideas to do thing with them. Look at the details! There is no date but it looks pretty old.
3. Got my red inchies from my January swap with Hannah Grey group. I put them in the book I made some times ago. This book is made specially for the monthly inchies swap where each month has its color.
4. Also something I did not post about: I received the stamps I had ordered from Zazzle. Hee hee. I am quite happy with them. I use them when I do swaps with the US.
5. My first painting! SO PROUD! ok, it has some mixed media items in it but I am very happy with the background. It is not finished yet. It will be next week. I have already started a new one with a different color palette.
6. There is another big news but there will a special post for it!!!
Again, it was a very busy week! Finally got some time to check my e-mails, my mail and to clean my art space. I cannot really call it "art room" as it is the office we share Ben and I. So I have half of the room and still, I have to share my own space with the laptop, the hard drives, the printers, the scanner. By the way, the new scanner is get. It is a pro photo scanner. Just love it. it is totally worth the price. I have started to scan my 6x6 negatives and so far, the result is nice. I will work a bit on the pictures and show them soon. the main task is to work on the scratches....
Other news is that I received MY stamp. My very own stamp! I made three different ATCs with it.
Please, tell me what you think of it. I would really like to hear what you have to say about this stamp.
I tried different techniques and background for the 3 ATCs I made with the stamp. I have yet to find a name!
Enjoy!
