Finally the Sun is back over Paris. It is summer…
Last Sunday, Rue Saint-Louis en l’Île, Paris
The photo above was shot with my new little point and shoot that I just bought. I am in love with the idea of having a camera at all time with me. It is almost more discreet to take what i call life photos.
Today I took the Nikon D300 and the Mamiya 600SE loaded with 125i film with me. I decided to go for a walk around Montmartre.
I do enjoy Paris. More than ever. I am there on holidays. I take my time. I enjoy taking public transportation. I take time to see, to notice, to take mental notes. The only thing that is not so fun is to carry heavy things instead of putting them in the car…
My computer and software here do not let me process much my photos, not that I usually do much, as the computer might crash at everything I ask… Nevertheless, i could not resist some B&W photos. When I took this one I thought of it in B&W. I like the fact that when i shoot with a digital camera i think of a photograph in Black and White when I shoot it.
Montmartre is at the top of a hill so there are many streets like these. it is quite steep.
There is a funicular railway to go to the Sacré Coeur to avoid climbing all the stairs. it is a short but nice ride.
Here it is, the Sacré Coeur… a tourist attraction.
The Sacré Coeur, from behind.
Details.
A street in Montmartre. Sun. Shade. Lines.
Some art work for sale at Place du Tertre.
A carousel. Nichole from Little Brown Pen also posted a photo of a carousel today.
The one above is especially for Ben. :-)
And then a ballad on the river…
A view of the right Bank from the boat.
The Josephine Baker swimming pool.. La piscine.
That is all for tonight…. I also took some Polaroid – I need to scan them.
